Who I am

I became a funeral celebrant because I’ve seen, through my own experiences, how deeply a ceremony can shape the way we say goodbye.

When my Mam died, her ceremony didn’t reflect her the way it should have, and that stayed with me for a long time.

Years later, attending two family funerals showed me something very different. Ceremonies that felt personal, honest, and put together with real thoughtfulness.

I realised what a difference true care makes.

Those two experiences changed me, they're part of the reason I chose this work, to support families at an incredibly hard time, listening, understanding, and making sure the ceremony reflects who their person really was.

Get to Know Me

I’ve spent my career supporting  people, sometimes through difficult times by listening properly, building trust and being someone people can feel comfortable to  be themselves around.

I understand that grief comes with all sorts of emotions. It's okay to feel heartbroken one moment and smile at a memory the next. You might want peace and quiet one day, and being around people the next. There is no right or wrong way to grieve. However you're feeling,  you'll be met with kindness, understanding and respect, never pressure or judgement.

I'm friendly, approachable and down-to-earth, and I'll do everything I can to make things a little easier during what can be an incredibly difficult time.

My training and professional standards

I’m a fully qualified Independent Civil Funeral Celebrant, having achieved the NOCN Level 3 Diploma in Funeral Celebrancy with Civil Ceremonies Ltd. It’s the highest recognised standard in the UK, and the training is thorough, practical, and carefully assessed. I am also an accredited member of the Institute of Civil Funerals.

All of this means you can feel confident that every ceremony I create is shaped with care, accuracy, and genuine respect and delivered to the professional standards families deserve.
